Season 16 Pattern
You can start this pattern on either side. This pattern is a bit different than the others. On this scarf, numerous sections are stretched out so I've adjusted the number of rows to reflect those proportions. In other words, these amounts here are not necessarily the exact amounts on Tom's. The numbers given here are the lines seen in the finished product. The actual rows knitted would be twice these amounts.
These are some specific techniques you should use in the construction of the season 16-17 scarf. This scarf was made by attaching the original scarf to the shorter season 14 version. Both scarves seemed to have gotten smaller by season 16. (Maybe they washed them?) For this reason, smaller kneedles should be used for a more compact knit. Also, the season 14 half of it contains some differences in the color proportions. (The yellow, brown, and purple sections are more stretched-out.) My pattern takes this into account. I've adjusted the row amounts to make the proportions look similar. Also, the original half had further sections cut out of it. (See the pattern.) The finished product should be folded in half to look authentic.
- Tassels:The tassels should consist of all seven colors. They should be placed fairly close together and should be about 3 inches long.
- Kneedles: This scarf should be knitted with US#5 or US#6 needles.
- Width: The scarf should be about 10 inches wide. It should be 60 stitches wide.
- Length: The scarf should touch the ground on both sides and make a knee-sized loop. This all depends on how stretched you make it.
