1976 Today Promotions Scarf

The only officially licensed Doctor Who scarf was released by a company called "Today Promotions" in 1976. This scarf was sold at conventions and exhibitions and a surprising number of them still exist today. Knitted on a machine in reverse stockinette stitch, the colors are strikingly similar to the original but the pattern was only partially observed, consisting of one repeated section. The scarf was sold in two lengths - an 8 foot and a 10 foot version and usually included a patch that officially identified it. These scarves occasionally pop up on eBay (usually from the UK) and usually sell for several hundreds of dollars!
